Camgrinding:

With our own in-house cam grinders we have been able to amass a plethora of camshaft experience. We have been grinding cams for over 20 years.  We are NOT like many of the other so called cam suppliers which simply act as middlemen to one of the larger automotive performance cam houses.  We actually develop our cams in-house by grinding and analyzing the cams on our computerized Cam Doctor and with the aid of our inhouse dyno.  We are constantly at the forefront of flathead cam technology as well as our expertise in diesel cam profiles for a variety of performance diesel applications.

Re-Grind Cast Cams:
Non built-up cast cams (Stock lifts for stock classes) $93.00 Built-up cast cams (Lifts in the 400 family $129.00 NOTE: You need to furnish a cast cam for re-grinding. If you are unable to furnish a cast cam for re-grinding an additional $35.00 core charge will be incurred and we will put your grind on one of our cast cores. Availability of our cast cores vary and we may not have any at the time of order. A portion ($30.00) will be refunded if you can supply us with a good cam core in a reasonable period of time. The cam core must be stock, (never ground before) no chips, dings, or worn points lobes. Turn around is typically 7-10 days upon reciept of core.

Carburator Re-Working:
We can can do a variety of modifications to your Kohler carburator. From "no visible modifications" to conversions to methanol, we can handle your carburation needs. Our 25+ years of experience on our own airflow benches and dynomometers allows us to make reliable improvements to your engine's intake system. Unlike some of our competition's carburators, our modifications will work within the refines of maintaining good atomization of the air/fuel mixture.

Balancing:
We can balance your entire assembly. Prices start at $95.00 and up depending on the assembly. We need your Crankshaft, Connecting Rod, and Piston Assembly.

Joe Whitworth has built more excellent engines in garden tractor pulling than anyone else to-date.  A strict regimine of constant research and development with the aid of Vogel Manufacturing's products and equipment combines for premium workmanship and the latest technology in flathead performance.

JW Performance Engines will build complete engines utilizing the finest Vogel Manufacturing components.  You will not find any mass produced engines in a box here!  We adhere to a belief that one cannot build an engine for a "one-size-fits-all" scenario.  Each engine that Joe builds is the latest technology for it's precise application.  Each engine is truely custom and when the time comes to refresh, rebuild, and service the engine, JW Performance will be there to do just that.  Joe can also update the engine with the latest performance parts and tuning developments.
