340-290-8 Stock Altered Camshaft





This camshaft is rated for 6500 RPM and up.
It has 0.340" lift and a duration rated at 290 degrees at 0.050" tappet lift. It is ground on 108 degrees of lobe center separation.

This profile will require the use of large base lifters.
We would suggest using our aftermarket heavier single spring assembly. Our single spring and retainer assembly gives far better performance than stock above 4000 RPM.

We will build up the lobes with a hard face overlay and regrind your cam core.

Please verify the quality of the ignition points lobe before sending in your core. Excessive wear will result in an insuffecient ignition signal. Inspect the gear teeth for damage. Look for cracks near the base of the gear before sending the core.
Please DO NOT remove the compression release.
